Creek town in Odukpani is an island town near Calabar River; it lies in Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State; in Southern part of Nigeria. However, Creek town is surrounded by body of waters. A bay passes through the town, dividing it into two parts. Creek town is close to Ikot Ekawan and Akai Ikot Orok at the northern part of Odukpani. Furthermore, it is close to Akankpa in Akampa LGA, New Netim, and Ikot Omin at the North. There’s a National Assembly Church of God; a popular church in Ikot Omin that was founded by Etim Akpan Otong. Meanwhile, Henshaw Town and Ikot Offiong is at the South. Also, Creek town is near Calabar municipal in Calabar. So, it is also close to this popular places or towns in Calabar; which are Duke town, Esuk Utan, Ikot Ansa and Ishie Town. In any case, there’s a popular street in Calabar that is called Creek Town Street. However, many people mistake it for this island town.

Weather in Creek Town Calabar

Do you know that Creek Town and Calabar has the same weather. However, the best time or month to visit this town is from July to October. During these months the weather is mild and inviting as the rainy season is over and not really raining much. So, one can chill out at the bush bar and get fresh palm wine. Unlike in the month of April to June when the rain fall is always high. Meanwhile, from late November to January the weather is always very cold. However, the people here experience harmattan. However, Creek Town is going to be a very popular place and attract tourist if the government look into it. Also, there are many places and things to turn into tourist attraction here. Hotels, are very cheap. Meanwhile, some can go for as cheap as $10 for a night. Although, some are more expensive than that. The major language here is Ejagham. Meanwhile, Efik, Ibibio and other Ekoid languages are spoken too. However, it could be from migrants or neighbours from other state and country. Although, English is the official language for communication. But in schools French, Portuguese and Spanish are also taught. Ukwa is a language from the Igbo speaking state.
