However, La Dade-Kotopon Municipal District in Accra lies in Greater Accra Region, Ghana. La Dade-Kotopon Municipal is a district and has it headquarters in La. However, it is near Ayawaso-East at the North. Meanwhile, Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Area is at the East. Osu-Klottey Sub Metro at the West and Atlantic Ocean at the South. Also, it is near Ayawaso-West Sub Metros of Accra Metropolitan Assembly at the North. Furthermore the district is made of 10 wards or electoral areas.

La Dade-Kotopon lies in the Coastal Savannah zone. It has two rainy seasons. The first begins in May and ends in mid-July while the second season begins in mid August and ends in October. However, there’s usually about 730mm average annual rainfall. That falls mainly during the two rainy seasons. There are few occasions where the Municipality experiences showers and thunderstorms in November and December. Also, rain usually falls in intensive short storms and gives rise to local flooding where drainage channels are obstructed. Although, there’s a slight difference in the temperature yearly.
However, the mean estimated temperature monthly is 24.7°C in August (the coolest) to 28°C in March (the hottest) with annual average of 26.8°C (Dickson and Benneh, 2001). As the area is close to the equator, the daylight hours are practically uniform throughout the year. Relative humidity is generally high varying from 65percent in the mid-afternoon to 95percentat night. The predominant wind direction in the Municipality is from the West South West (WSW) to the North North East (NNE).

Although, it’s a municipal but as of 2010 the district population was 183,528. However, it is10 years after the result. So, we expect the figure to rise. That’s to say there are more females than the males living in this area. A research shows that males occupant has 47.3 percent; while 52.7 are females occupant. Nevertheless, the municipal is an urban settlement. It is more civilise and beautiful that many places in Ghana. The indigen of Greater Accra people living here are Adangme; made up of Ada, Gas, Krobo, and Shai.
