Ashanti region is one of the most populous region in Ghana with 27 district and more than 4,780,380 people. It lies in the southern part of the country near Atlantic ocean. It is the second largest region after Northern region. Furthermore, Ashanti region is known for Cocoa production. And is home to Kumasi city.

It follows Western region in land area with 20,570 km². While in Volta, you can check in to Volta Regional Museum, Mount Afadja, Mount Gemi, Wli Waterfall, and Tagbo Falls.
