Magodo in Lagos State lies on Ikosi road in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos in Southwest, Nigeria. However, the suburb is near Ketu. Also, Ketu is the closest link to Magodo. History of Magodo in Lagos State

However, Magodo is an ancient settlement in the heart of Kosofe LGA. This land was a sacred place used by traditionalists. It is said that it was taboo for a traditionalist to use Mortar and pestle to pound. Therefore, Magodo is derived from Ma gun odo and interpreted in Yoruba as “Don’t pound it”. All you have to do is drive from Lagos – Ibadan Express Rd then Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Ikorodu and merge onto Ikorodu Rd. Finally, take Aina Rd to Magodo St. Meanwhile, you can enter a public transport from Berger to Ketu, where you can Ikosi and take a tricycle (Keke) to Magodo.

How to get to Magodo from Yaba

What you need to know when going to Magodo from Yaba. The journey should be 31 minutes drive if there is no traffic. Therefore take Ojuelegba Rd to Funsho Williams Ave/Western Ave. Then follow Funsho Williams Ave to Ikorodu Rd and exit Funsho Williams Ave. Moreover, slight left onto Lagos Ikorodu Express and continue on Ikorodu Rd. How to get to Magodo from Oshodi

However, one can get to Magodo, using a car, bus, or bicycle. Therefore, if you are using a private car and not public transportation. It is a journey that is less than 1 hour and it’s about 20.4 km. By using the NNPC Rd head to Alh. Kudirat Adenekan St, where you will see The Life Centre and Graceland World keep going till you reach Ati Okoye St then Asa-Afariogun St. Furthermore you will get on Airport Road then on Apapa Oworonshoki Expressway; that leads to the Oshodi-Oworonshoki Expressway and turn through the Ilupeju Fire Station Canteen.

Moreover, head to Ikorodu Road where you will approach Ojota and pass the Gani Fawehinmi Park; then head towards Ketu market. Also, pass the Mile 12 International Market and in a few minutes after passing Agiliti Central Mosque you will arrive at Magodo. However, this direction can also be used for someone riding a bike. But if you are using a public transportation bus then from Oshodi stop at Ketu, find your way to Ikosi road, there you can use Tricycle (Keke) or Motorcycle (Okada) to Magodo.

Heading to Magodo is only 13 or 15 minutes. All you have to do is head east on Demurin St toward C.A.C St. Then follow Davies St, at the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Ajelogo Market St head Ikorodu Rd. Finally, take Aina Rd to Magodo St.

How to get to Magodo Phase 2 from
Ojota

This is also a 13-minute drive like Ketu. Therefore, follow Bayo Shodipo/A1 to Ikorodu Rd. Exit from Bayo Shodipo/A1. Get on Lagos – Ibadan Express Rd. Then follow Lagos – Ibadan Express Rd to Isheri Rd. Furthermore, exit from Lagos – Ibadan Express Rd. Then continue on Isheri Rd. Take Bankole St to Ayodele Fanoiki St in Lagos.

When going from Magodo to Lekki, this may take you 1 hour and 49 minutes or more to get to your destination. Therefore, take Emmanuel Keshi St, head to Adekunle Banjo Ave, and drive on C M D Rd to Lagos – Ibadan Express Rd. Furthermore, follow Expressway1 to Osborne Rd. Then take the exit toward Ikoyi from Expressway1. However, continue on Osborne Rd. Then take Lekki – Ikoyi Link Bridge and head on Admiralty Way to Lekki – Epe Expy. Meanwhile, if you are going to Magodo from Lekki; this will be over 1 hour 53 minutes because of the toll gate. Therefore, follow Lekki – Epe Expy to Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave in Lagos. Then get on Expressway1/Ring Rd. However, continue on Apongbon St to Funsho Williams. Then follow A1 to Ikorodu Rd. Exit from A1. Finally, continue on Ikorodu Rd.
