List of towns in Anambra are much; but are not as develop as towns in Akwa Ibom State. In any case, Anambra is a Niger Delta State in South Eastern part of Nigeria. Furthermore, it is home to 181 towns. However, many of this towns are far from civilisation. And also, needs the help of the government. Also, the NYSC i.e National Youth Service Corps have been lamenting; about the bad roads and poor social amenities and infrastructure. Abacha

However, it is a town in Anambra state. That lies in the southeastern part of Nigeria. However, Abacha shares common boundaries with Nimo, Eziowelle, Abatete and Oraukwu towns. Nevertheless, it is part of the 10 communities in Idemili North. This is a Local Government in Anambra State. Which is also, part of the Anambra Senatorial Zone. Furthermore, there are six villages in Abacha. These are Norgba, Umuokpolonkwu, Umudisi, Umuekpeli, Umuazu, and Ugwuma. However, the king of Abacha is Igwe Mbakwe one of Abacha. Ideani

However, Ideani is sometimes spelt as Ide Ani. It is a town in Idemili North Local Government of Anambra, Nigeria. Also, its borders Abatete in the East and North. Furthermore, Uke in the West and Alor in the South. Moreover, this is another place to meet the good people of this state. Also, they are hard working.

Nawfia

Nawfia is a town in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. However, most of the occupant are Christians. Furthermore, the villages that make up the town of Nawfia are; Umuriam, Iridana, Uruorji, Urukpalaeri, Mmimi Umuezunu, Umunkwa, Ifite, and Umudunu. However, the town shares common boundary with Enugwu Ukwu, Enugwu-agidi, Awka, and Amawbia. Also, the authorities adopts the Kingship title of Igwe Nawfia. The immediate past ruler of this community; was His Majesty, Igwe F. F. B. C Nwankwo. While the present traditional ruler is His Majesty, Igwe Ferdinand Chijioke Nwankwo. Ebenebe

Ebenebe, a town in Awka North; Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. Furthermore, it shares common boundary with Ugbenu to the north. And also, Ezeagu LGA of Enugu state to the East. Also, Mgbakwu and Odoli River is to the west. However, the town has a population of 45,897 according to the 2006 Nigeria census. Meanwhile, Ebenebe consists of eight villages. Which contains small villages. Also, it is a 25km drive from Awka; the capital of Anambra. However, Ebenebe has a good climate and arable land suitable for farming.

Moreover, the town is also one of the highest producers; of agricultural products in Anambra. However, Ebenebe use to be the capital of Ezu Local Government Area. Oko Town

Oko Town is a popular Igbo speaking town in the south east of Nigeria. However, it is one of the 16 towns that make up the Orumba North Local Government Area, in Anambra State. Umuoji

Umuoji is one of the towns under Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. It is an Igbo speaking ethnic group. Although, its history is affected by lack of written words. Also, the town borders Nkpor, Ojoto, Abatete, Ogidi and Uke. Nevertheless, it has a population of 80,000 people from the 23 Villages.

Oraukwu

Which was formerly ohaukwu also lies in Idemili North LGA in Anambra. However, it is 40km East of Onitsha. Which lies along the old Enugu-Onitsha trunk road. Also, it is 20km southwest of the Awka Local government area. There are people from different parts of the country that also lives in Oraukwu. However, the indegenes consists of well educated people and also non-educated business men. Who are mostly international business tycoon. Sadly, the afairs of this town are control by the wealthy men who are not really formal in their ways. So, they careless about the government; but have interest in village politics. This is how they live here.

Igbo-Ukwu

Igbo-Ukwu is a town that lies in Anambra a southeastern state in Nigeria. Also, the town is made up of three quarters Ngo, Ihite, and Obiuno. However, each of them have several villages within the quarters. And also with 36 administrative wards. However, this is a typical igbo town with many palm wine joint. Also, there are bush bar joint here. Life is fun here to the citizens. Although, you may not like it.

Iyiora Anam

This is one of the towns that lies in Anam City; Anambra West Local Government Area, southeastern Nigeria. However, Iyiora is known as the eldest in Anam and also the smallest town in Anam. Nevertheless, it is one of the towns that we must include in the list of towns in Anambra. Although, we don’t have much to say about it. Also, the town is a bit peaceful.

Aguleri

Aguleri which means “ Agulu of Eri ” is the largest town in Anambra State. Also, it is the first place for Eri-Aka to settle in Aguleri. However, 34 Kings have been produced by the Ezeora dynasty. Till date, it is one of the oldest in Eastern Nigeria. It is located in the present Anambra State. The town has a large population of 890,000 people. Aguleri makes the last list of Towns in Anambra State.

Culture and Tourism

This is something that could bring money to this state. But there is little or less happening about it. Although, it is not too late for Anambra. Cross River State started from somewhere. So Anambra can also do it. If Dubai can be what it is today; then the Towns here can also be a fun place to visit.

Ogbunike Caves

is on the list of UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. However, it is one of the attractive tourist sites in Anambra State. Also, Ogbunike cave is classify as a Sandstone cave. It’s attractive tourist from different part of the world. I think you will like it. Why not take a tour in this place. So, you can also visit other towns. Igbo Ukwu Museum

Igbo Ukwu is an ancient known town; that dates back for its metalcrafts. Nevertheless, it continues to attract tourists to see the bronze artifacts. However, it was found in 1938. Although, the Bronze were later excavated by Thurstan Shaw; an English archeologist. Furthermore, it has been in existence since the 9th century. However, they are very costly and have high value.
